Dr Emma Sparks PhD
Emma graduated from Oxford Brooke's with a first class honours degree in osteopathy, having obtained her PhD and MSc in Systems Engineering from Cranfield.
Emma previously worked as a research scientist in government looking at lower limb injuries in military recruits which followed from her degree in biomechanics and sports science. She has a keen interest in the treatment of sports injuries particularly lower limbs and shoulders as well as the challenges brought about with degenerative change as we age and recover from injury.
In addition to osteopathy Emma is a qualified yoga instructor (RYT 200) having completed an intensive course of study with the Marianne Wells school in Costa Rica and is also a Pilates mat work instructor having taken a gateway course with Polestar in London. These additional qualifications compliment her osteopathic training and create a unique fusion of skills.
Emma practices at Witney and Faringdon as well as continuing in her role as a senior lecturer at Cranfield university.
Lisa Harris BSC (Hons) Osteopathy
Lisa received her BSc(Hons) degree from Oxford Brookes. She has also qualified in cranial osteopathy and has undergone postgraduate training treating babies and for pregnancy. Lisa is qualified in kinesiotaping which can support and enhance treatments. She is fully qualified and insured to practice as a registered osteopath.
Lisa is passionate about listening to and working in collaboration with her clients to establish a treatment plan. She is able to adapt a range of techniques according to her clients needs. This often includes home based exercises to aid recovery and return to chosen daily activities. She enjoys working with a wide variety of patients from newborns adapting to being out in the world to pregnant ladies, new parents, stressed office workers, weekend warriors, athletes and retired people who are embarking on an active future with more free time to enjoy their lives.
